Preparation method
- Buy a whole unsliced multigrain bread. It’s best to purchase it a few days in advance so it’s easier to spread
- Using a bread knife, cut thick slices of about 2 cm
- Preheat your sandwich press
- Spread spicy hummus generously on both slices
- Crumble the feta cheese and mix it
- Spread the feta cheese mixture on one half of the houmous-covered slice
- Place the other slice on top, then grill in the sandwich press until golden brown and crispy
- Cut the sandwich halves in two and serve on a plate
- Optionally, garnish with some tomato-mozzarella salsa and a dollop of pesto
