Croque mambo italiano

Ingredients

  • Multigrain bread
  • Granoliva Houmous basil
  • Mozzarella
  • Granoliva Pesto Verde spread
  • Granoliva semi-dried tomatoes

Preparation method

  1. Buy a whole unsliced multigrain loaf. It’s best to do this a few days in advance to make the bread easier to spread 
  2. Slice the bread into thick slices of about 2 cm with a bread knife
  3. Preheat the sandwich press
  4. Spread both slices generously with Granoliva Basil Hummus
  5. Cut the mozzarella into cubes and mix with some pesto. Then add the semi-dried tomatoes and mix again.
  6. Top one hummus-covered slice with the tomato and mozzarella salsa.
  7. Fold the two halves together and toast in the sandwich press until golden brown
  8. Cut the sandwich halves in two and serve on a plate
  9. Optionally, garnish with some mozzarella-tomato salsa and a dollop of pesto
  10. Enjoy your meal!
